  2. def apply for financial aid. and thats one of the cheaper schools to go to
    and prices are still rising

american students need to stop letting this happen. we need to start protesting it. im surprised there havent been more protests here. ive heard about a few last year but none recently. if all us california students got together and marched in sacramento, we could probably make a difference.
kids today, especially americans, are just so lazy and selfish. if they can afford it (or rather their parents can) they dont care enough to actually make it easier for those who cant. which ultimately makes the gap between the lower and upper classes bigger and bigger because only rich kids get good education and well paying jobs, leaving the kids with less money with shitty to no education and working the late night drivethru at wendy's (if theyre lucky), and later their kids cant get a quality education because they cant afford it either.
if the state can afford to give some students financial aid, why dont they just give that money to the schools so the tuition fees can be lower, making it easier for everyone to go to school and pay the normal tuition

sorry about the rant, its just something that really grinds my gears

  3. That's good ol' capitalist Amuurica for you.

I especially feel bad for the people who need financial aid, but their parents make a little over the requirement, so they can't apply for it.
